Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Telugu film ‘Jack,’ directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, hit theatres today, April 10, 2025. Despite its release clashing with Ajith Kumar’s ‘Good Bad Ugly,’ which has stolen much of the spotlight, Siddhu’s loyal fans are still turning up for the first day, first show. If you're unsure whether to watch Jack, we've gathered some Twitter reactions below to help you make a more informed decision.

‘Jack’ Twitter Review

The movie has received a mixed response from audiences. Many viewers were disappointed, feeling that ‘Jack’ failed to strike a balance between espionage and humour. They believed that director Bommarillu Bhaskar attempted to pack in all the usual commercial elements, but the film ultimately fell short due to a cluttered screenplay and weak writing.

While Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s performance was appreciated, audiences felt that even his efforts couldn’t compensate for the lacklustre dialogues and uninspiring scenes. The spy narrative and terrorist villain arc were widely criticised as dull and frustrating, with some even labelling them irritating.

Comedy, which was expected to be a highlight, largely fell flat, with only a handful of moments managing to elicit laughter. The film’s music also failed to impress, and viewers took issue with the poor production quality, particularly pointing out the noticeable green screen effects in multiple scenes. Overall, many found ‘Jack’ a challenging watch.

Viewers have voiced their disappointment with some labelling it as ‘half-baked’ and criticising the second half for its ‘illogical scenes.’

X user @Sanjeev called the movie below average and wrote, "#SiddhuJonnalagadda tried his best but hard to sit through as it bores you, #VaishnaviChaithanya character irritates. Writing is terrible & emotions doesn’t workout!"

Meanwhile, another X user @Venky Reviews wrote, “#Jack is a spy action comedy that disappoints big time as both the spy portions and comedy fail to deliver for the most part. Director Bhaskar tried to pack all commercial aspects in this film but none of them could make a solid impact because of the clumsy screenplay and weak writing.”

Another X user, @Bheeshma Talks wrote, “The film has interesting line. Starts off well but falls in the category of silly spy drama with mindless writing and making. #SidduJonnalagadda is in ease to impress but.. even a single scene doesn't workout and songs are just bland.”
