Brain rot bollywood films

Bollywood has given us unforgettable classics, pathbreaking cinema, and films that have defined generations. But it has also produced movies so bizarre, so tone-deaf, and so wildly off-track that you can’t help but ask: Who approved this? Whether it’s shape-shifting snakes, dancing tigers, or cringeworthy comedy, these ten films stand as proof that anything can happen in Hindi cinema.

Bollywood Films We Can’t Believe Got Made

Here’s alook at 10 Bollywood films we can’t believe got made, and why they continue to baffle us.

Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahaani (2002)

Featuring shape-shifters, reincarnations, and The Matrix-style action, this film is chaotic from start to finish. But the most shocking moment? A college scene where a woman is pressured to forgive her molesters. Dialogues like “They’re just guys!” and “If you don’t forgive them, it just shows you’re too proud of your beauty” make this one of Bollywood’s most regressive moments on screen.

Rudraksh (2004)

With its questionable CGI, a possessed mouse, and an American robot assistant, Rudraksh attempted to blend mythology with sci-fi, and failed spectacularly. The viral line “Yehi toh rakshas neeti hai” sums up its confusing tone. The film defies logic, time, and storytelling all at once.

Himmatwala (2013)

You’ll need actual himmat to sit through this remake. Between Ajay Devgn fighting goons with a tiger by his side and Paresh Rawal styled like Shakespeare saying lines like “Sarpanch maarega aapke sar pe punch,” this film was a test of endurance.

Mastizaade (2016)

Vir Das once joked he needed therapy after acting in this film. It’s not hard to see why. With sexist jokes, over-the-top sexualisation, and a complete lack of taste, Mastizaade became a case study in how not to do adult comedy.

Humshakals (2014)

Cross-dressing, lollipop “cures” for OCD, and a script that makes no sense, Humshakals was confusing even by Sajid Khan’s standards. Bipasha Basu later called it the biggest mistake of her career.

Gayab (2004)

Tusshar Kapoor plays a man who becomes invisible… and uses the power to stalk his crush, rob a bank, and haunt his mother. Creepy, problematic, and logic-defying, Gayab makes good sense disappear.

Karzzzz (2008)

Himesh Reshammiya’s version of Karz added extra ‘z’s, and extra snooze. The only moment that stood out was the oddly catchy “Tandoori Nights”. Every Karz remake since Rishi Kapoor’s 1980 film has bombed, making it feel like a cursed title.

Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag (2007)

A remake of Sholay no one asked for, Aag was a disaster of epic proportions. Originally titled RGV Ki Sholay, it was so poorly made that critic Rajeev Masand gave it a zero-star rating and reportedly threw an egg at the camera in frustration.

Race 3 (2018)

This Salman Khan-starrer had it all: awkward snow dances, exaggerated stunts, and dialogue like “Dil nahi Dell khol ke dikhao.” It’s a film where logic came last, and disappointment crossed the finish line first.

Fun2shh... Dudes in the 10th Century (2003)

A fantasy comedy involving accidental time travel, Fun2shh stars Paresh Rawal and Gulshan Grover in a confusing world of “cheeka peeka reeeka” and “eena meena deeka.” It’s one of those films that makes more sense if you don’t think about it.

These films may have missed the mark in terms of storytelling, logic, or basic decency, but they remain unforgettable for all the wrong reasons.
