Significant drops were observed over its first five days of release. After a promising Sunday bump, the film's earnings sharply declined during the weekdays, raising concerns about its long-term performance.

Sunday, however, showed some improvement with ₹1.75 crore, a 34.62% growth from the previous day. Unfortunately, the momentum didn’t last, and Monday’s earnings plummeted to ₹0.58 crore, followed by the almost negligible ₹0.02 crore on Tuesday, as per Sacnilk.
Overall, the film’s total earnings stand at ₹5.15 crore after its first five days.

Compared to Abhishek Kapoor’s previous successful films like ‘Kai Po Che’ (2013) and ‘Kedarnath’ (2018), ‘Azaad’ has been significantly underperforming. Both of these films earned much higher figures at the box office, with ‘Kai Po Che’ grossing ₹50 crore and ‘Kedarnath’ going on to earn ₹66 crore. In comparison, ‘Azaad’ is unlikely to reach even a fraction of those numbers with its current pace.
Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Azaad’ has struggled significantly at the box office, with a sharp drop in collections on Day 5. Despite a star kid cast and the director’s previous successes, the film has not lived up to expectations.
