Remember that lady who sang Lata Mangeshkar's track "Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai"? She has bagged her first project! Yes! You read that right! Music composer & singer Himesh Reshammiya kept his promise and has recorded a track with Ranu Mondal and we are seriously psyched! 

This latest social media sensation will also be seen visiting the sets of the show Superstar Singer which is co-jusged by Reshammiya, Alka Yagnik & Javed Ali, hosted by Jay Bhanushali. She will be seen meeting the kids and judges. After listening to Mondal's voice, live, the "Aashiq Banaya Aapne" singer offered her a song in his upcoming movie.

Ranu Mondal shot to fame when someone shot a video of her at Kolkata’s Railway station, singing the beautiful song sung by Lata Mangeshkar which then went viral on the internet, overnight.

As per a media house, Mondal was born in Krishnanagar but after the death of her mother, she spent her life with her aunt. She said: "From my childhood, I had a passion for listening to music and singing along. Although I liked Mohammad Rafi and Mukeshji's songs, it was Lata Mangeshkar who inspired me a lot. I could relate to her singing and the melody always touched my heart.’’

Earlier, this singing sensation also got a makeover thanks to the executives of Superstar Singers. Her transformation photos also went viral on the internet.

On the sets of the reality music show, when she came on the set, she sang the same song and left everyone in tears.

Reshammiya told media: “Salman Bhai’s father Salim uncle once advised me that whenever in life I come across a talented person, I should never let that person go and keep him/her close to me. He advised me to help that person grow his/her talent. Today, I met Ranu ji and I feel that she is blessed with divinity.

"Her singing was mesmerizing and I could not stop myself from offering her the best I could. She has a god’s gift which needs to be shared with the world and by singing in my upcoming movie, Happy Hardy and Heer I think I will help her voice reach everyone. She also learnt the tune on the sets live and she will record the track immediately in a day or two and the song is titled 'Teri meri Kahani'," he said.

This inspiring story is proof that you never know what's in store for us in the future and how our lives can change overnight! Bollywood may be unkind to some as millions go to Mumbai to try their luck but it does open doors to talent at times. I guess you just have to be in the right place at the right time?!
