Ghee is good when had in moderate quantity and so is jaggery or gur. But the combination of the two is an Ayurveda backed solution to many ailments as it is packed with everything our body needs. This time even Kareena Kapoor Khan's popular nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar has recommended it. She says that besides being smooth on the tongue and healthy for the body, it "Works wonders for skin health too". Diwekar says that the dual combo should be had post every meal. Here is why.
Ghee and gur makes a lethal combination as the mixture has calcium, selenium, zinc, manganese, magnesium, iron, fatty acids and vitamins.
Rujuta Diwekar took to her Instagram and shared: "Finish your lunch with a little jaggery and ghee. Rich in iron and essential fatty acids, this combo won't just keep the sweet tooth at bay but also help with hormones and immunity. #localfoodwisdom."
It is said that a spoonful of ghee and an inch of gur is excellent for dealing with mental and physical weakness. It is excellent for kids as well.
