Fans of BTS were recently treated to an unexpected yet heartwarming moment when RM and Jungkook went live on Weverse and shared who they believe is now the strongest member of the group post-enlistment. The answer wasn’t what many expected, both of them agreed that V, or Kim Taehyung, now holds that title.
Who Is The Strongest In BTS After Military Discharge?
During the Weverse live on July 14, 2025, RM admitted with a smile that V is now stronger than him. “Shocking news, Kim Tae-hyung is stronger than me now,” he said. Jungkook nodded in agreement, adding that V had also become stronger than him. To this, Jimin said, “He’s stronger than me, too.”
They explained that while they had been focusing on body-weight exercises and lighter training, Taehyung had stayed committed to intense weight training, even after completing his service.

RM also shared, “We mostly do bodyweight exercises, but Taehyung joined the special unit and started lifting weights. He’s bigger than us. We can’t even finish the sets he does now.”
Military Service Transformed BTS V Aka Kim Tae-hyung
V’s transformation appears to be closely tied to his time in the South Korean military, particularly his service in the Special Forces. RM and Jungkook admitted, “Right now, the two of us can’t keep up with him,” and said, “We were shocked — we focused on bodyweight exercises, but Taehyung did weight training in the Special Forces.” To this, Taehyung said, “I forced myself into the habit.”

He was promoted to the rank of sergeant, recognised as an ace marksman, and awarded the Special Warrior badge, an honour given to soldiers who excel in physical and mental performance. His dedication earned him a place in the Hall of Fame within the unit, which speaks volumes about the level of discipline and physical strength he built during his service.
BTS Surprise Live Session: A Glimpse of BTS Brotherhood
What made this conversation especially meaningful for fans was the way it highlighted the bond between the members. It wasn’t just about who could lift the most weights, it was about encouragement, growth, and supporting each other through every phase of life.
The live session was very much fun and interesting. Fans commented with “cuteness overload” and “the most chaotic live session”.
It gave ARMYs a chance to see their idols as more than performers—real people who train, grow, and have fun just like anyone else.
