Several figures from the country’s entertainment industry voiced their concerns over the rising tensions between the two nations, labelling the strike as ‘cowardly.’

Mahira Khan reacted to the strikes by sharing a post on her Instagram, originally tweeted by writer Fatima Bhutto, which criticised the military action. Along with the repost, Mahira wrote, “Seriously cowardly!!! May Allah protect our country, may better sense prevail. Ameen.”Meanwhile, Hania Aamir also responded with a brief but sharp reaction, posting a one-word Instagram Story that read: “Cowardly.”

Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan Face Backlash

Several angry social media users, particularly NRIs, have taken to Twitter to slam Hania Aamir and Mahira Khan for criticising India’s Operation Sindoor. Screenshots of the celebrities’ posts are now circulating online, with many accusing them of hypocrisy and selective outrage. One tweet read, “Where were you when terrorists killed 26 of our people? Allah should protect us from people like you, not you from us.” Another Twitter user wrote, “Hania Aamir and her low IQ fan brigade really thought they could casually enter Bollywood while their country shelters terrorists?”

Hania Aamir And Mahira Khan’s Instagram Accounts Banned In India

Several Pakistani celebrities, including Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, and Sajal Aly, lost a large portion of their Indian fanbase after their Instagram accounts were blocked in India. The move comes amid rising tensions between the two countries following the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

Indian users trying to access the profiles of stars like Hania, Mahira, Sajal, Bilal Abbas Khan, and Iqra Aziz were met with the same message: “Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content.”

In addition to individual profiles, the Indian government has also blocked several YouTube channels belonging to Pakistani production houses. Many Pakistani dramas that once had a strong Indian audience have now been taken off air in the country.

In other news, after India announced the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan, some Indian fans of Hania Aamir were seen sending her water bottles as a mock response to an assumed water crisis in Pakistan. A video showing a group of youngsters posing with a parcel addressed to Hania has gone viral on social media. However, many netizens pointed out that the clip was likely created for fun and meant to be humorous.
