Divya Agarwal, the Bigg Boss OTT winner, recently got engaged to her boyfriend Apurva Padgaonkar and took the internet by storm. Netizens have a mixed reaction since this news came just months after her infamous break up with Varun Sood.
Following her engagement, she said that she knew her fiance sinceseven years. “Hey coco! It’s been 7 years and look how far we have come... it doesn’t matter what we are today, we are back for what we had back then. My raw and unfiltered man, I love you for your heart,” she wrote.

In another tweet, she added, “I always just wanted a happy family n Waheguru heard it. Thankful to each one of you all who were a part of the celebration.. It’s indeed the most important day of my life #missyoupapa,” while sharing a picture with her mother, brother, and fiance.
This did not sit well with some Varun Sood fans who said that they feel betrayed.
In a recent interview with Bombay Times, she also mentioned that she had dated Padgaonkar a long time back but had drifted apart. After her break up with Sood, she said that she bonded with Padgaonkar all over again. While the couple hasn’t fixed a date, the they have plans of tieing the knot in 2023. Padgaonkar is an entrepreneur-restaurateur in Mumbai.
Agarwal and Sood dated for four years and broke up earlier this year in March. Before that, she was in a relationship with Priyank Sharma since they were in the MTV show Splitsvilla. However, when Sharma went to Bigg Boss he got involved with his friend and Sood’s girlfriend Benafsha from Roadies fame. Following both the couple’s public break up, Sood and Agarwal appeared on the MTV show Ace of Space and connected and began dating.

Ever since her engagement, fans took to social media and called her “golddigger” and said, “At the end money prevails,” and several other nasty comments. After her tweet regarding knowing her fiance for seven years, fans asked and wondered if ever she loved Sood. “Yeh true love hai toh …Varun ke sath kya tha majak Aur Harr baar tumhe saccha pyaar kaise mil jata hai,” wrote a social media user, while another added, “Wasn’t she with varun for 4 years in that 7 year like what is happening.” While there are also fans who stood by her and said that she is not unanswerable to anyone.
