Natural Bronzing

If you want your skin to look more bronzed and give it a more outlined look then don't worry about buying expensive bronzers from the market. Instead, take out that cocoa powder you use to bake tasty yummy cakes. Yes, you read that right! Mix in some cocoa powder and cinnamon and use the blush brush to apply and contour on the areas you want baked and bronzed.

Toothpaste As Nail Paint Remover

Toothpaste is one of the easiest household staples that one can use to get rid of old nail polish. All you have to do is simply scrub some basic toothpaste or one that has baking soda, which is a gentle abrasive, over your nails. After this, you should use a cloth, ideally damp, to wipe your nail and see if this method has worked.

However, in case you have gel nail paint, it might not be an ideal option.

Soft Heels

Now most of us who wear flats have this problem. Our heels look worn and torn and become hard. Pedicures cost us and we do not really get time to go to the parlour. So, ditch those expensive foot creams and get some baking powder and vinegar. Take some warm water in a bowl, add probably 2 cups, add two tablespoons of baking powder and one table of vinegar to it. Mix it all till you get a cream-like consistency. Before you apply the mixture to your heels, do wash them thoroughly. Now apply this mixture and let it be till it dries and then wash with cold water. Use the mixture on your heels twice a day for best results.

Dark Under Eyes

Yes yes, our sleeping pattern is bad, we watch too much TV or sleep too less due to work and therefore get dark under circles. All you have to do is use the mint as a puree by making a paste. Apply the paste under the eyes and leave on for 20 minutes. Wash it off with water or just wipe it off with a damp cloth and pat the area dry. Do this every day and watch the difference. If you want to make a smoother paste, add in some olive oil.

Mouthwash

To disinfect your mouth and maintain oral health we use mouthwashes in the market. What if we can use ingredients at home and save all that money? Take a tablespoon of coconut oil and put it into your mouth. Rinse it around your mouth, also called oil pulling but do not swallow it! Spit it out after a few minutes once you are done.

Another one is that you take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and mix it with water. Do the same swishing with the solution and spit out once done.

Tea stain, cigarette stains or anything else you may think off, give us yellow or stained teeth which look horrible and lessen our confidence. We try not to give a radiant smile as it may lead to embarrassing situations. Yes, you could go to the dentist for teeth whitening but that burns a hole in our pocket! Baking soda is a cheap, effective natural remedy for teeth whitening.

This ingredient has the ability to remove plaque and whiten teeth. It also contains antibacterial properties which makes it a perfect ingredient for our dental routine. All you have to do is mix half a teaspoon of baking soda with a teaspoon or two of water or lemon juice to form a paste. Dip your toothbrush into the mixture and brush your teeth as usual for at least two minutes. Do this twice a week and voila! Don't go crazy with it as you may lose the enamelled layer on your teeth.

Oily Hair

baby powder

Oily hair is something many have and frankly, all solutions are temporary as it is what it is naturally. Actually, oily hair is the result of the natural process that happens as our hair grows. The oil that we see, comes from the sebaceous glands, which are present at the base of every strand of hair. When this sebum production becomes excessive, oily hair occurs. This is generally caused by pregnancy, hormonal changes, medication, seasonal changes, unhealthy diet and lifestyle etc.

We suggest baby powder. Just sprinkle some onto the roots of the hair. It contains astringent properties that help absorb excess oil when it’s applied, and it can help get rid of greasy hair and promote freshness and volume.
