The bikini area is the most sensitive area of your body. If you are opting on shaving the area yourself then it is important that you buy the right kind of razor. If you are using a razor that men use for their beards and moustaches then get rid of it immediately. There are special razors that are designed for women so why not stick to those. There is a reason why they are sold separately right?

Hair Trimming

If your bikini area has more hair and has a length then first trim it down with scissors. Then you use the razor. After removing the hair when the length comes again, you can stick to the scissors and trim it down. The purpose it solves is that you do not have to use a razor, again and again, every time.

Use Hot Water

Before you settle down to removing the hair of your bikini area, dip that part into the hot water. Simply sit in some warm water and relax for 10 minutes. Why? This makes the hair soft and it becomes easier to shave. Once warmed up, pat it dry with a towel and then shave.

Use Cream Soap Or Wash

To remove the pubic hair, instead of using shaving cream, you should use a creamy soap or cream-based body wash. It does not make your skin dull and keeps it moisturised and not dry. The market is full of special creams and gels to remove pubic area hair so why not invest in that?

Direction Of Shaving

Don't go crazy with different directions while shaving with the razor. If you do not stick to one direction then you will pull out your hair and increase the risk of infection. In fact, if not done the right way you may have rashes or small boils.

Moisturising

Once you are done with the shaving, it is important that you moisturise the area. Your bikini shaving process is not over until done with this step. First apply some aloe vera gel to cool down the area shaved and then after it settles into your skin, use a fragrance-free moisturiser.

Cotton Underwear

Once shaved, please ditch those synthetic underwears and instead wear a cotton fabric. This reduces the smell it may cause due to sweating and lets the area breathe!

Tip: Change your razor frequently at regular intervals to avoid infection.
