Oil Therapy for Winter Season

We all will agree that the condition of our hair can make or break our looks.  It is our crowning glory and that’s the reason we all spend on hair products and treatments. Sometimes even expensive preparations one is unsatisfied with the results. Regardless of cut and style hair should be thick and shining, but more it is dull, lifeless and with split ends. Overexposure to sun and sea can make our scalp greasy and hair ends dry. The basic substance of our hair is keratin a strong protein that reduces production as we age due to ill health, tension or stress.

Just like our skin our hair also has types and we must first understand our hair type if it’s normal, oily, dry or fragile. The following are the oils recommended for dry scalp hair massage.

As carrier oil one can choose any of the following almond oil, coconut oil, argan oil, sesame seed oil, olive oil, bhringraj oil, Brahmi oil, jojoba oil, etc. Slightly warming the oil is better as it thins the oil and makes it easier to penetrate into the scalp. Making a blend with pure essential oils such as rosemary, chamomile, castor, sandalwood, lavender, geranium, hibiscus is better than using the one oil alone.
