Monsoon season often brings humidity, which can trigger acne breakouts. When acne becomes worse and oil production increases, a natural solution or a face pack can be a game-changer. Neem and turmeric have been known for their powerful antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Here is an easy DIY face pack that is perfect for your glowing and acne-prone skin.
DIY Neem And Turmeric Face Pack For Acne-Prone Skin
Neem is a powerhouse for skin issues. It's highly antibacterial and antifungal, directly fighting the bacteria that cause acne. It also helps to reduce inflammation, redness, and purify the skin, making it excellent for breakouts. Whereas, turmeric helps to soothe irritated skin, reduce acne scars and hyperpigmentation, and gives the skin a natural glow.
Ingredients
- One tablespoon of neem powder
- Half a teaspoon of turmeric powder
- One tablespoon of honey
- 2-3 tablespoons rose water

Procedure
- In a clean bowl, combine the neem powder and turmeric powder. Add the honey and then the rose water, mixing continuously.
- Stir well until you get a smooth, lump-free paste. It should be thick enough to apply without dripping but not too dry. Add more liquid if needed.
- Now, gently cleanse your face and neck with a mild, acne-friendly cleanser. Pat your skin dry.
- Using clean fingers or a soft brush, apply an even layer of the paste all over your face and neck, avoiding the delicate eye and lip areas.
- Leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes, or until it's about 80% dry. Wet your hands and gently loosen the mask by massaging in circular motions.
- Rinse thoroughly with cool water until all traces of the mask are removed. Ensure no turmeric residue is left. After, apply the moisturiser to lock in the hydration.
