The followers of Shaivism are devoted to Lord Shiva who is known as a powerful and supreme deity. The followers of Shaktism believe Goddess Durga to be the supreme power in the universe. And last but not least, the followers of Smartism worship the five Hindu deities: Vishnu, Shiva, Shakti, Ganesha, and Surya.

How To Choose The Right Path?

Amit Pradhan said, “The question of which path to follow, Vaishnavism, Shaivism, Shaktism, or Smartism, can be complex. Amit explained that in modern times, the competition to prove one sect superior to another has led to unnecessary conflicts. “Instead of engaging in debates over which deity or tradition is greater, it is more important for individuals to follow their chosen path with devotion and respect for others. By embracing our own practices with sincerity and honouring the diversity of spiritual paths, we can foster a harmonious and enriched spiritual community,” he elaborated.
