After waking up early in the morning and taking a bath, you have to wear clean clothes and sit facing east or north. Then, you should offer water, sesame seeds, whole rice grains, flowers, etc., to the Sun God. Worship Lord Ganesha first, and then worship Lord Vishnu and Maa Lakshmi with incense, lamps, offerings, etc. After that, worship Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati and ask for their blessings. Sing the Aarti and offer Prasad along with lamps, incense, offerings, etc. You should also perform the Pitra Tarpan Vidhi on this day to seek the blessings of your ancestors and donate as per your capacity.
