World Health Day 2022: Bollywood Celebs Who Would Inspire You to Remain Fit & Healthy

World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated annually on 7 April, under the sponsorship of the WHO, and other related organizations.

B-town is full of fitness as we see around so many celebrities who stay very conscious about their fitness. However, if you are the complete opposite of them and frequently find yourself procrastinating or lazing around, you should take some advice from your favourite Bollywood celebrities.  As we celebrate World Health Day on 7th April, 2022 take some health and fitness inspiration from celebrities.

When talking about fitness in B-town, Shilpa Shetty is the first name that strikes our mind. She is an active Yoga and workout participant who with each passing day is only getting better and better. 

A real fitness enthusiast, the actress has written books about it, and keeps sharing her secrets that help her stay fit on her Instagram page. If you open her Instagram account, you will find many workout videos that will motivate you to exercise too.

2. Rakul Preet And Jacqueline Fernandez

Rakul Preet Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez are 2 of the many actresses who keep inspiring us with their workout images.

In an exclusive interview with HerZindagi, the actresses opened up about their ideas on fitness.

On exercises and diet, Jacquline said that one can exercise a little bit each day, i.e., eat a little healthy each day and workout for as little as 20 minutes, and that even this will go a long way. While Rakul Preet said that she devotes at least one hour every day to exercise, she also stated that if one does not have enough time to spare for exercise, they can workout anywhere, like on her busy days, she sometimes exercises in her van.

In an HZ exclusive video with HerZindagi, Richa Chadha said that, "For me weight loss was never something about wanting to shed kilos. It was about a healthier choice for me, myself and my body. I think I chose a path of wellness combined with the right approach to fitness and that is what I wanted to focus on and that is what has given me the results. I think above all one has to keep in mind to keep sane, make wise choices and respect your body. You have to know and evaluate what works best for you, fitness isn’t an approach of one size fits all, and one shouldn’t follow someone else’s fitness blindly and should alter what works for them. Every body is different. The diet that works for you, may not work for someone else. It helped me not to work out till i sorted out my immunity, stress and gut health."

5. Shehnaaz Gill

Punjabi actor and model, Shehnaz Gill made headlines in 2021 for her transformation when she had drastic weight loss.

In an interview with a news portal, Shehnaz Gill shared that a lot of people made fun of her weight while she was inside the Bigg Boss house last season and that's why she thought of losing weight. She said, "Look, lockdown chal raha hai. A large amount of work has come to a standstill all around, so I thought why not just go for weight loss? Kuch logon ne mere weight ka mazak udaya tha 'Bigg Boss 13' mein. Kai log weight lose karte hain, maine socha chalo logon ko dikhati hoon ki main bhi patli ho sakti hoon. It's not difficult to lose weight if you really want to." 

Shehnaz Gill didn't go for any intense workout training to lose weight during the lockdown and lost 12 kgs by only working on her diet.

6. Sara Ali Khan

Sara Ali Khan managed to lose a lot of kilos while she was suffering from PCOD. However, for this she did a lot of hard work. Sara Ali Khan used to weigh 96 kg. The reason for her such weight gain was PCOD.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sara Ali Khan talked about her weight loss journey. She said, “I remember saying ‘you know what I am going to do it’ and I went to the gym and did 3 crunches with a weighted ball in my hand and I couldn’t do more because I was heavy and I was not fit. I left the gym and came home and said ‘you know what, I don’t know if I can do this. Maybe I can’t'.”

However she didn't give up there. She further said,  “I woke up the next day and went back to the gym and did 4 crunches, and then I did 5 and then I did 6 and I really don’t need to boast but I am down for a crunch challenge right now. I did a lot of abs this morning.”
