"Kids often do not enjoy having plain milk with sugar; they need some flavours in it and we should add something delicious and healthy in their milk which can add additional benefits to the milk. You can make a homemade protein mixture for kids which they will enjoy and is actually good for their health," she added.
How To Make Protein Powder At Home?

Ingredients Required -
- 5-10 Makhana
- 5 Almonds
- 1 Tsp Fennel Seeds
- 1 Tsp Mishri
- 2 Tsp Green Cardamom
- 5 Walnuts
- 2 Strands Kesar Or Saffron
- 1 Pinch Of Black Pepper
Directions -
- On a non-stick pan, dry roast almond and makhana.
- Take off flame.
- In a blender, add all the ingredients and blend to make a powder.
- Add 1 tsp of this homemade protein powder to a glass of milk. Mix and serve.

Talking about the benefits of drinking this homemade protein powder, Nutritionist Ekta Sood said, "This badam makhana mixture is tasty and super healthy for kids as well as for adults. This mixture can be prepared in bulk and stored in an airtight container. This mixture is good for eyesight and bones will also help in the growth of kids. If kids insist on having a chocolate drink, a little amount of cocoa powder can be added to it which will give it a chocolate flavour."
