Actor Anushka Sharma and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is one of the most loved couples. They have been entertaining their fans with funny videos, and by posting sweet snapshots together. Most recently, the duo talked about their healthy lifestyle on a live chat. While both the stars stay extremely busy, it’s due to the lockdown that the power couple has come together to practice their healthy lifestyle. During the chat, Anushka and Virat discussed positive changes they have adopted during the lockdown and also the key to their fit bodies.

Believe it or not, the stars admitted that they have hardly adopted any changes and are living life the way they always do. According to the report by a leading media house, the actress revealed both of them, “do not believe in diets and we just have a lifestyle which is very healthy. We have always been like that.” 

Alkaline Food 

However, there are a few precautions that the actress and the cricketer take when it comes to food. In order to keep their immune system up to the mark and to keep their stomach light, they eat “food which is alkaline”. These food items include some of the green leafy vegetables, broccoli, citrus fruits, seaweed, sea salt, root vegetables, seasonal fruits, nuts, onion, garlic, and ginger, etc. Speaking about the same, the 31-year-old actress said, “there are certain things we don’t eat because they are not good for you, we try to eat food which is alkaline so it’s kind of easy on the stomach and keeps you healthy because if your body is alkaline your immunity is good and that’s something that we have always followed.”

Even the power couple is very particular about boosting their immunity, especially during the pandemic of the novel coronavirus. Anushka and Virat have been ingesting “a lot of haldi” as soon as they wake up. Also, they are swearing turmeric, ginger, black pepper tea. “I think all of us are trying to do whatever we can to boost our immunity. We have been having a lot of haldi, haldi in the morning when we wake up, we are having haldi ginger and Kali Mirch ka chai (tea) and we are trying to drink a lot of water - sometimes we forget but we try to drink a lot of water.”

Not just commoners, even the fitness fanatics like Anushka and Virat are most likely finding a hard time working out at home. They suggested the simplest alternative ever. “Working out, more than anything else, is giving me a routine, it’s giving Virat a routine. When you are working out you are like okay I have something that I have to do now, I will do it and you feel good after the workout. When you are about to go to workout, you might feel that you aren’t feeling like doing so but you have to push yourself,” said the actress.

Lastly, Virat talked about things that he has been able to learn from his beloved wife Anushka. “To be honest the patience bit I have learned ever since me and Anushka met each other. I was very impatient before. The learnings from one another that we have had, looking at her personality, looking at her composure in situations has really inspired me to fight it out. Even when things are tough you have to swallow your ego and keep being there in adversity, keep fighting your way out, and eventually, you will find away,” he said.
