An athlete and fitness lover at heart, Sania put on 26 kgs during her pregnancy and just like everyone, it was not a cakewalk for her to get back in shape. In a recent interview with a media portal, Sania shared that she lost all her weight by doing cardio. “I lost all the weight by myself. It was just with cardio and my knowledge of fitness. It was also restricted because I couldn’t do weights. I was killing myself. I would do 100 minutes of cardio, an hour of kick-boxing and an hour of pilates. That was my day, that’s how I lost weight”, she said.

We had documented little ‘tid bits from my post pregnancy journey back to being and feeling healthy and fit again .. I’ve been asked bout my ‘weight loss’ journey sooo many times .. how? When? Which? Sania maintained a good diet throughout her pregnancy and included cake, ghee and all her cravings in it. She believes that it is essential to listen to your body and give it what it wants. But after delivery, she stuck to healthy and natural food, and kept a tab on her calories. "I ate what I wanted to which I never did all my life. I was very sure that from the day I delivered my baby, everything would change, and literally from the next day onwards, I was on a healthy diet which was how I was able to lose 22 kilos in three months," she said.

Sania also shared the process on her social media and told her fans that it is extremely important to be active during your pregnancy, in order to lose the weight later. The athlete used to do prenatal yoga and a less rigorous workout to maintain herself.
