Home cooked or cooking food from the scratch is gaining popularity. People have started to make their breads, confectioneries, Pasta and even Dairy products at home. With increasing awareness of the Harmful effects of Preservatives and Refined /Processed flour, sugar etc. Many have already switched to go an extra mile by either cooking at home or buy from trusted brands that promises authentic and Healthy products.

Eating Out as well as Eating Right

From the past decade the food industry has been revolutionised with new studies and ideas. Consumers are more aware and have become Health conscious. So much so if they choose to eat out, they don’t want to deviate from their diet. The restaurants and gourmet bars cannot afford to miss the changing trend and choices. Hence almost all the restaurants have adopted Healthy meal options for weight watchers and many new players have come in Healthy meal segment.

 

Switching from Traditional to Healthier options

On the contrary Fat is an important macronutrient and has vital roles in our body. Nutritionists recommend to add good fat in your daily diet in the form of Ghee, butter, coconut butter, nut butters and whole Nuts.

The flexitarian diet works on a concept of flexibility and is considered one of the most comfortable diets in recent times. A flexitarian is a semi vegetarian that sticks with plant based meal options mostly but does take animal based products too in moderation. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes are the major sources to provide nutrients in this diet but one an animal based product is added time to time.

The 16:8 rule

Intermittent fasting diet or 16:8 diet has recently shown positive changes in many people lives where in one has to fast for16 hours and eat within 8 hours window.. it might sound difficult to someone is actually not because those 16 hours most of it is slept through. You can pick an 8 hour window as per your comfort, It can be 10 am to 6 pm or 12 - 8 pm. This diet has not just been helpful in loosing weight but improving overall health and metabolic activities in human body.
