If you are a frequent traveller then there is a tendency that you eat the wrong category of food and snack on everything we should be avoiding. So here are some tips from Rujuta which are healthy, affordable and possible!

It looks glamorous from outside but can take quite a toll on your health from inside. Here are a few quick tips shared by Nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar who also helps out Kareena Kapoor Khan in maintaining her fitness quotients, that will help.


Stay well hydrated. Carry a water bottle and keep sipping through the journey.

Avoid chai and coffee on the flight and 60 mins prior to boarding and post landing. (Ok for road trips though).

Lie in Supta Baddha Konasana for 5 mins at bedtime. This asana is when you bring your heels to the floor, press through your feet to lift your pelvis. Next, position a block under your pelvis, lower your sacrum onto the block, and then drop your knees to the sides, pressing your soles back together.

Before you step out from your hotel, order khichdi/ dal chawal/ pasta/ risotto for dinner and tell them what time they should send it to your room. If you wait to come back and order, you are calling for a pizza.

Wherever possible request for food from staff kitchen and not the restaurant, it’s more like ghar ka khana.
