Jamun seeds contain active ingredients such as jamboline and jambosine that are known to lower the rate of sugar release into our bloodstream and increase insulin levels in the body. According to the National Library of Medicine, “Jamun seeds lower the blood glucose level and reduce glycosuria.” Therefore, it is great for diabetic patients.
Jamun (benefits of eating jamun) seeds are rich in antioxidants which makes them act as a liver stimulant. The antioxidants combat the damage caused by free radicals and protect the liver cells. It is also rich in anti-inflammatory properties which reduces the inflammation in the liver. Jamun seeds also contain Ellagic acid, which is an antioxidant that helps in checking fluctuation in blood pressure.
