The most popular trekking trails at this location are Kalala Ghati, Malini Barrage, and Kandoliya Devta Temple.
Boating In Bhulla Lake
Go on a romantic boat ride with your partner at the lovely man-made Bhulla lake. This serene lake is maintained by the Indian Army and is dedicated to the martyrs of Garhwal Rifles. You can spot ducks in the lake and rabbits hopping on the banks of the lake. You can also enjoy bird watching at this place as well as splurge on some delicious food at the restaurant.
Nature lovers can spend their time bird watching at this place. You can watch the playful Himalayan birds in all their glory. You can visit the two-story historical defence museum at Lansdowne and pay homage to the Victoria Cross Awardee, Naik Darwan Singh Negi of Garhwal Rifles. This museum is more than 30 years old and exhibits the old uniforms, certificates, arms, photographs, and ammunition of the soldiers of Garhwal Rifles. If you wish to learn all about the Garhwal Rifles, then you should definitely visit this museum.
Kalagarh Tiger Reserve
This place is for wildlife lovers. You can catch a glimpse of tigers (interesting facts about tigers) as well as some other animals including hog deer, barking deer, porcupines, goral, sambhar, and many others. You can have a look at the place while enjoying the jungle safari. Spread over an area of 300 sq. km, this tiger reserve actually covers the Northern part of the Jim Corbett National Park.
When you are in Lansdowne, you should never forget to visit the various temples in the hill station. Two of the most famous temples (women-only temples in India) at this place are Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple and Santoshi Maa Temple. You can also visit the two very famous churches at this place. One of them is St. John Church which is the only functional Roman Catholic Church in Lansdowne and the other one is St. Mary’s Church which is now converted into a museum.
