The 14th anniversary edition of Vogue India Fashion magazine was dedicated to the women athletes who represented the country at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

The magazine featured Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu, Boxer Lovlina Borgohain and badminton star PV Sindhu.

Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu won silver medal for the country. Boxer Lovlina Borgohain and badminton star PV Sindhu both won the bronze medal for the country.

Badminton bronze medal winner, PV Sindhu in her recent match defeated He Bing Jiao in straight games to earn the bronze medal at the Tokyo Games, 2020 and scripted history by becoming the first Indian woman to win two individual Olympic medals.

After returning back to India, as soon as she touched down Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport with her bronze medal, she received a brilliant welcome.

Saikhom Mirabai Chanu is an Indian weightlifter who began lifting firewood as a child and has now become one of the country's most famous weightlifters. Mirabai Chanu, the only Indian weightlifter competing in the Tokyo Olympics 2020, won us a silver medal in it.

Mirabai Chanu broke India's over two-decade wait for an Olympic weightlifting medal, winning silver in the 49kg category five years after leaving on the same platform after a disastrous debut.

When India's first Olympic medallist, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, and her coach, Vijay Sharma, returned to India, they were welcomed with a hero's welcome.

Lovlina Borgohain, who secured a bronze medal for India in the Women’s 69kg Welterweight category of the event, was the first woman pugilist from Assam to qualify for the Olympics. She recently at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics made it to a podium finish after losing the semi-final match to world champion Busenaz Surmeneli of Turkey.

Tokyo Games saw a brilliant debut of the 23-year-old boxer, who clinched a bronze at the world arena. She gave it all in the ring to win India’s third medal in boxing at the Tokyo Games.

Just after reaching the airport, Lovlina was welcomed by  Bihu singers and dancers in the traditional Assamese way. She also received a red carpet welcome.

These super women deserved the feature on the magazine and we are super impressed by Vogue India's Step.
