Diwali is almost here and we are all excited to mark the festival of lights. Celebrities are no different from us and they also happen to be exhilarated to observe Diwali. One thing that we all know is that this year nothing is as fun as it used to be until last year, due to the current pandemic of the novel coronavirus. However, everyone is trying to make the most out of this day in the safest yet the best possible way they could.
Among all, Ekta Kapoor seems to be topping the chart! She began Diwali celebrations by throwing a bash. It was a star-studded event with almost all the biggies of the silver screen, small screen and entertainment industry attending the Diwali party. While the décor of her residence was bewitching, we couldn’t keep calm checking out amazing couture of stars like Mouni Roy, Karishma Tanna, Hina Khan, Karan Patel and Anita Hassanandani.
Karishma was donning a beautiful pink lehenga that has the most stunning mirror work on the blouse and the dupatta. The bodice came with a V-neckline and full-sleeves, something that looked ideal for winters. She paired her ensemble with a choker necklace and a chunky finger ring. The actress exuded glamour in soft curls and dewy makeup.
Mouni Roy was looking nothing less than a diva in her plain white lehenga. However, the centre of attraction was her striking necklace and multi-colour gorgeous blouse. It came with intricate embroidery and hanging beads that elevated her simple Diwali look. Her raani haar looked breath-taking and a piece that added wow-factor to her appearance!
The ultimate fashion queen Hina Khan didn’t fail to impress us yet again! She, who made headlines with her couture even at Cannes Film Festival was seen in a very sophisticated metallic blue outfit at Ekta Kapoor’s Diwali bash. Hina’s showed us how one can look party-ready in the most minimalistic way possible. While she packed her hair in a bun, it was the actor’s statement neckpiece that caught our attention. Along with pink lipstick and simple earrings, she also sported black metal bangles.
Soon-to-be mother Anita Hassanandani looked a vision in gold metallic outfit. Her simple, yet classy outfit gave major goals to all the pregnant ladies out there. The actress tied her hair in a neat bun that allowed her to flaunt her beautiful tassel earrings. We also loved her matching jutis that came with bare minimum bling. She completed her Diwali appearance with well-defined brows and a bindi!
Other than these leading ladies, the party was also attended by ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra, Mrunal Thakur, Krystal D'souza, Aditya Seal, Anushka Ranjan, Urvashi Dholakia, Vikas Gupta, Harleen Sethi, Karan Patel and his beautiful wife Ankita Bhargav, Mohit and Sanaya Irani, Ridhi Dogra, Shabbir Ahluwalia and his wife Kanchi Kaul, along with many others.
Many others who used to throw epic Diwali parties every year, such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, are, however, keeping it an intimate affair this time. Talking about the same with media, Abhishek Bachchan said, “It’s true. We had a death in the family this year. My sister Shweta’s mother-in-law (Ritu Nanda) passed away. Besides, who hosts parties at a time like this?”
“Civilization is going through the worst crisis ever. We all need to be as careful as possible. Observing the utmost social distance is the only option we have. And that too is not a guarantee against infection. Diwali parties and other social occasions are for now a distant dream,” he added.
