There is nothing like some hot and delicious kebabs which really melt in the mouth. Kebabs are one of the most loved starters. The festive season is just around the corner and if you are planning to host any parties or get-togethers at home then you have landed on the right page.

If you wish to prepare some delicious snacks for your guests then try kebabs. These are vegetarian recipes and if you follow them properly, you can end up making restaurant-style kebabs at home. Read on for the easy recipes. 

Palak Kebab

Healthy and filling, palak kebabs deserve a place on your party menu! 

You Will Need:

  • 4 cup spinach
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 400 gm boiled potato
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp amchur powder
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 4 tbsp besan 
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  • Salt as required

Directions:

  • Blanch palak or spinach leaves till they turn soft. 
  • In a pan, add 2 tsp of oil, ginger garlic paste, amchur powder, garam masala, 1/2 cup peas, and coriander leaves. Cook till the peas turn soft. Let the mix cool and then blend to make a smooth paste. 
  • In a bowl, add mashed potatoes, besan, and the peas paste. Mix all the ingredients well. 
  • Add bread crumbs to the bowl and mix again. Make the kebabs round in shape. 
  • On a non-stick pan, spread some oil and place the palak kebabs. Cook on both sides till golden and crisp. Serve hot.

Aloo Kebab

Everyone loves aloo or potatoes and this is the safest snack you can make using a few ingredients. 

You Will Need:

  • 3 mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander seds
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat masala
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 Tsp Corn Flour
  • 1 Chopped Onion
  • 3 Tbsp Bread Crumbs
  • Salt to taste
Directions:
  • In a pan, add water and potatoes. Bring to boil. Let them cool, peel, and keep aside. 
  • Mash potatoes and keep in a bowl. 
  • Add all the spices and sprinkle salt as per taste. 
  • Put all the other ingredients into the bowl including coriander leaves, bread crumbs, and corn flour. Also, squeeze the lemon juice. 
  • Mix all the ingredients. Give the kebab mix the desired shape and keep aside on a tray. 
  • Deep fry or pan fry the kebabs till golden and crisp.
  • Serve with mint chutney or tomato ketchup.  

Soya Kebab

You Will Need:

  • 2 cup soya chunks
  • 1/2 cup poha
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 150-gram grated paneer
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds powder
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste

Directions:

  • Boil soya chunks, mash, and keep in a bowl. 
  • Add all the ingredients in the bowl and mix well. 
  • You can give the kebabs any shape of your choice. 
  • If you have an electric tandoor, you can place soya kebab sticks in it and cook or directly fry them. Serve hot with chutney. 

Beetroot Kebab

Beetroot is super healthy and nothing like turning it into these tasty kebabs. 

You Will Need:

  • 1 cup grated beetroot
  • 1/2 cup grated paneer
  • 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp oats powder
  • 1 tsp anardana powder

Directions:

  • In a bowl, add grated beetroot, paneer, garlic paste, chaat masala, salt and anardana. 
  • Start mixing all the ingredients to make a dough. 
  • Give kebabs the desired shape and then coat the patties with crushed oats powder. 
  • In a kadhai, add oil and fry these kebabs till crispy. Serve with mint chutney or curd.

Paneer Kebab

Paneer kebabs are a great snack if you are bored with the regular paneer tikkas. 

You Will Need:

  • 250 gram paneer
  • 1 cup curd 
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  •  1 tsp chat masala
  • 1 tsp green chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt as per taste

Directions:

  • In a bowl, add curd, ginger and garlic paste, chat masala, chilli powder, green chilli sauce, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix all the ingredients well. 
  • Cut paneer into cubes and marinate them in this mixture. Keep it for 2 hours in the fridge.
  • Take out the paneer pieces and cook in a grill pan or deep fry. Cook till golden and crisp.
