It is Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s birthday tofay (April 28), and we are revisiting her fitness routine. In 2022, the actor was diagnosed with Myositis, an autoimmune condition. She shared her struggles with the disease and recovery.

The ‘Shaakuntalam’ actor shared a video while working out, and fans spotted white doctor’s tape on her hand. She often shares her workout videos which give us a glimpse into how she is so fit. On her birthday, let’s take a look at her diet and fitness routine.

Latest Gym Workout

In one of the videos shared by Friday Culture on YouTube in which Samantha was seen in an intense workout session, she was on a cable machine, pulling strings. It helps with developing upper body strength.

Pulling Body Up

In another video that Samantha shared on Instagram this January, she was seen pulling her body up while hanging by a rod. At that time she was following a strict diet considering her health condition. She added, “Strength is not what you eat… it’s how you think.”

Plank

The plank is one of the exercises that help to develop the strength of the core. It requires a person to maintain their body weight on their hands and toes and hold the position for as long as they can.

In the above image, Samantha was clicked holding the position. One can see how difficult it was for her as she had closed her eyes and her hands were joined together.

Weight Training

Samantha also does weight training. She shared the above video in April last year and captioned it, “2022-23 is going to be the most physically demanding and challenging time for me. Bringing it on.”

She was seen lifting heavy weights and squatting. It is an exercise for the entire body and helps with muscle building and strengthening.

Level Up Challenge

In January last year, Samantha took a level-up challenge. She sat on her knees and gathered all her strength to jump and land on her feet. She did it multiple times and challenged her trainer Junaid Shaikh to do the same.

Cycling

Cycling is among those cardio workouts that a person can enjoy in company. Samantha went out cycling in the rain with a few of her friends.

Aerial Yoga

Aerial yoga is one of the exercises that help the mind and body connect with each other. The person has to hang upside down and hold a certain position. Samantha shared her image of performing aerial yoga, and she captioned it, “Life is a balance of holding on and letting go.”

Diet

An article in News18 broke down Samantha’s diet.

  • For breakfast, she prefers a bowl of fresh fruits, nuts and oats, with a glass of smoothie or fresh juice.
  • As a mid-morning snack, she likes to consume some dry fruits and fresh fruits.
  • Samantha prefers to eat grilled chicken, salad, brown rice and steamed vegetables for lunch.
  • Green tea and a glass of smoothie are the actor’s preferred drinks in the evening.
  • For dinner, she has a bowl of quinoa, fish, steamed vegetables and grilled chicken.
