  • Be very specific about time slots. Start by booking a preferable slot but, the timelines are to be followed and must not be exceeded with trivial questions. If it is likely that it will be an extended consultation – the doctor needs to know so that he can give you an appropriate time slot and not waste time for other patients logged in and awaiting their turn
  • Please ensure good connectivity, good light, and sound. There should not be many interruptions and also too much of ambient sound, as it is undesirable and leads to confusion and repetition unnecessarily.
  • Old medical records and prescriptions should all be arranged chronologically for an easy reference.

  • Keep a pen and a notebook along to note down medicines, tests advises that the doctor may give or ask you to refer and get back.
  • Preparation prior to the consultation is a must. Also, write down all doubts you want to clear so that there is no delay or omission of details. Such as, a picture or a report you want to show to the doctor must be uploaded or shared prior to the consultation to save time during an online consultation. 
  • Be civil, courteous and modestly dressed for the online consult. We are moving fast towards a digital revolution. Hence a few basic etiquettes will go a long way of reducing the stress of not meeting doctors physically.
