Be Summer Ready: Try These Amazing Ayurveda Tips To Keep Body Cool

You cannot afford to consume too much oil and spice in summers, given the rising temperature. Take Ayurveda's help that has some tips to keep you cool and calm.

With this summer heat comes exhaustion, tiredness, sweating, dehydration, and many more such problems. But there is a solution to everything as well on the other hand. Here we will take up some Ayurveda tips which will help in cooling down the body. It is nothing complicated but just few eatables and drinks that we have to avoid or have. So relax, get that orange juice you were sipping on and read further.

Water Rich Fruits

Eat foods that cool your body and give you relief from excessive heat. Gorge on fruits with good water content like watermelon, plums, pears, apples, berries and prunes. Have vegetables like asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and cucumber.

Avoid Food With Heat

Avoid foods that will produce heat in your body. Do not have sour fruits, too citrus fruits, beetroots and carrots that tend to heat up your body. If you like them a lot then don't go overboard with them. Once or twice it is fine. Limit the intake of garlic, chili, tomato, sour cream and salted cheese to avoid hampering your system. Eat more salads because they cool you down and have them for lunch. Don't have dark meats as they have a lot of heat. 

Eat At The Right Time

Did you know your digestive time is the strongest during lunch time?  Do not skip on your lunch as this makes you cranky and irritated. 

Bring Coconut Oil To Your Rescue

As perAyurveda, you should rub 145 ml of coconut oil on your body before taking a bath. This gives a calming, cooling and soothing effect to the skin. You can also use sunflower oil.

 

 

Say No To Hot Drinks or Hot Water

Have more of cold beverages and ditch hot drinks. In fact, you should have beverages at room temperature in order to balance it.

Avoid Strenuous Exercise

It is always good to exercise early in the morning as it is the coolest part of the day. But don't engage in vigorous workouts during thee day as they may heat up your body.  

Make Use Of Cooling Oils

Get yourself some ooling oils like sandalwood, jasmine and khus oils as they not just have a soothing aroma, but also are known to have cooling properties.

Avoid Ice Cold Drinks

Yes this one will be difficult to follow in this heat but as per Ayurveda, ice cold drinks only inhibit digestion and create toxins. Drinking anything chilled is like putting off the digestive fire which will cause various health problems.
