A true explorer would want to go off the beaten path and see regions that are less visited. Check out these places for a more relaxing and unspoiled vacation with your family.

1. Gulaba

You can visit this mesmerising place - Gulaba. Remember the breathtaking views in the film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani? Gulaba is where the college students went trekking. In the winter, there is a lot of snow, and it's still a little-known destination about 6 kilometres from Solang Valley. Gulaba's natural sceneries are popular with lone tourists, families, and couples, making it one of the greatest spots to visit near Manali. It's an ideal spot for spending quality time with your loved ones while enjoying the peace and quiet. Skiing, trekking, hiking, paragliding, and snow scooter riding are all options. 

2. Kaza

Kaza is the main town in the Spiti Valley, which is known for its monasteries, high-altitude agriculture, and steep mountain slopes. The desert-like location offers breathtaking vistas of snow-capped mountains. The Ki Monastery is particularly well-known in this area. Kaza is also home to the world's highest petrol station and populated communities. Kaza, as part of the Tibetan Plateau, can transport you to Tibet and Ladakh.

3. Rohtang Pass

Rohtang Pass, a high altitude mountain pass on the eastern extremity of the Pir Panjal range, connecting Kullu Valley with the Lahaul – Spiti Valleys at a tremendous elevation of 3,978 metres. It is one of the most popular destinations to visit near Manali because of its ethereal beauty and proximity to snow-capped hills. Rohtang Pass is a paradise for nature lovers and thrill seekers. Jab We Met and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani are two Bollywood films that were shot here.

4. Manikaran

Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara is a popular Hindu and Sikh pilgrimage place located in the Parvati Valley on the Parvati River's bank. In Gurudwara, there are three hot water springs with religious and spiritual importance, where pilgrims take holy baths. Hot water springs are thought to have therapeutic characteristics that aid in the treatment of skin problems. Placing vessels on the hot springs prepares the langar.

5. Sethan

Sethan is a charming village near Manali where you can get away from the tourist crowds. The small hamlet is located at an elevation of 2,600 metres and is home to Tibetan migrants. During the winter, you can enjoy the valley's snow-covered scenery and sports such as snowboarding. Trekking, mountain climbing and camping are popular summer activities.

6. Shoja

The Great Himalayan National Park encompasses the area surrounding Shoja. The oak, pine, and bamboo forest, as well as the alpine meadows, can be explored. In Bhuntar, you can go trekking and camping at a few locations, or take park or temple tours.
