There was a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva at Rajgarh in Alwar. This Shiva temple located in Rajgarh was about 300 years old. This temple was built during the time of Pratap Singh and Bhaktavar Singh. This temple has stood the test of time and history and for long this temple had been the centre of faith of the local people. Apart from this, this temple has also been special in terms of archeology.

This temple was dedicated to the family of Lord Shiva. The idols of Goddess Parvati, Kartikeya and Ganesha were installed in this temple. Due to this reason the temple was quite famous among the people of Rajgarh. Before the temple structure was demolished, the idols here were first removed by the temple priest.

Local people used to visit this temple to worship. In the month of Sawan, this temple would exude a unique radiance. This is because the month of Sawan is dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to mythological beliefs, Lord Shiva was reunited with his mother Sati in this month.
