According to the Sanatan Dharm, if you worship the favourite devotee of Lord Bholenath, Nandi with complete rituals, he becomes very happy with you and showers his immense blessings on you.
Nandi was the Nandishwar incarnation of Lord Shiva as per the Shiva Purana. In all the temples of Lord Shiva, an idol of Nandi is also installed as it is believed that Lord Shiva doesn’t bless the temple with his presence in which an idol of Nandi is not installed. Therefore, you must worship Nandi along with Lord Shiva in his temples.
