Aamir Khan is certainly one of the most celebrated actors of Bollywood. From ‘3 Idiots’ to ‘PK’, his films are certainly a class apart. Very recently, one of his critically acclaimed films ‘Lagaan: Once Upon A Time’ completed 21 years of its release. Produced under the banner of the star’s own production house, the film was appreciated by one and all.

While the film has been out for over 21 years, its popularity has not diminished. To mark the legacy of the film, the star cast gathered at Aamir Khan's residence in Marina where the superstar hosted a party.

Aamir Khan's production shared an intimate video of the celebration on social media. Sharing a short video of the film’s stills, the team wrote, “Thank you for all the love for the last 21 years! The journey of Aamir Khan Productions started with #Lagaan , and the film continues to be a part of our journey! Sach aur saahas hai jiske mann mein, ant mein jeet usi ki rahein…#21YearsOfLagaan”

The entire star cast along with the director came together to celebrate the evergreen film. Ashutosh Gowariker, Akhilendra Mishra, Gracy Singh, Yashpal Sharma, Raghuvir Yadav, Rajesh Vivek Upadhyay, Daya Shankar Pandey, Rajendranath Zutshi, Raja Awasthi, Suhasini Mulay, Pradeep Ram Singh Rawat, Amin Gazi, and many others marked their presence at the celebration of the iconic film that took place at Aamir Khan’s residence.

About The Iconic Film

The film was released on 15th June in 2001, is one of the most successful Indian films. In addition to eight National Awards, Lagan won several other accolades. It was one of three Indian films nominated for Oscars and Academy Awards at the time. Moreover, this is the only foreign language movie nominated for the Oscars, after Mother India. The story of 'Lagaan' revolves around the British colonial rule in India during the year 1893.

Upcoming Film

Currently, Aamir Khan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha. The film was meant to be released in theatres on April 14, but it was postponed. Besides this, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor also launched a social media filter for Instagram to promote Laal Singh Chaddha.
