For proper nourishment of the body he suggests vegetarianism, eat right to feel right, seasonal foods and their influence on the mind and effects on the body and certain therapeutic virtues of certain foods that can change the health landscape of this world. Fruits that come in the rainy season are packed with anti-oxidants and will help in fighting off any illness. Fruits such as jamuns, litchi, cherries, peaches and plums are some that you should consider eating at this time, however, please wash them well before consumption.

Vegetables like sweet potato, carrot, garlic, spinach, fenugreek, bitter gourd, radish promote immunity during monsoon.

Mehta says breakfast should be natural and wholesome, may comprise of seasonal fruits, nuts, cereal, poha, upma.

Lunch Should be had in the golden hour between 12 to 2. Small portions of seasonal vegetable, while rice, millets, roti salad.

Dinner should be had by 7.30 by sunset. Pulses and grains should be avoided as they are acidic in nature. Through the day seasonal vegetable juices, herbal tea with nutmeg and cinnamon.
