But, what about the driving licence? We Indians are granted a license by our government that can work in several other places. If your document is in English and valid, you can enjoy driving a rented car in the USA for up to a year or so. However, it is not just your DL that would be needed to avail this service, you will also need the I-94 form, a document that contains the date on which you entered the country.

Malaysia

Known to be one of the most relaxing and amazing countries around the globe, Malaysia is a perfect destination is you want a refreshment. To roam around in this country, you DL shall be in English, or their local language, Malay. But, in case your Dl is not vetted by the issuing authority or the Indian Embassy in Malaysia, you will then need International DL to enjoy driving in Malaysia.

One of the most visited countries in the world, Germany has rather strict rules when it comes to driving. Besides all this, you can enjoy 6 months of driving there with your Indian DL. But, you will need to be very cautious about the traffic rules, as they are not as same the India’s. 

Australia

If your driving license is not in any Indian vernacular language, but in English, you will be able to enjoy 3 months driving permit in Australia. The best part is, their traffic rules are somewhat similar to India’s hence, you won’t have any problems. 

United Kingdom

Be it England or Scotland, your Indian driving license will not be an issue to drive there. You can enjoy up to 1 year. However, it is also important to note that the UK only allows only a certain class of vehicles to people having an Indian DL. 

New Zealand

If you are above the age of 21, New Zealand trip will be full of fun for you. The beautiful country has almost similar road and traffic rules as India, all you need is your DL in the English language and you will be able to enjoy driving there for a complete year.
