The wedding season is just around the corner and we are sure most of you must be busy prepping your outfits and jewellery. Often, we forget to think of the right hairdo with our looks and then end up going for just anything. However, if you want to make a statement at the wedding party, you must pay a lot of attention to your hairstyle. There are a lot of fun hairstyles that work well with most traditional outfits. If you are too confused for a pick, go for gajra hairstyles. Gajras can never go out of fashion  and they are a great way of making your hairdo stand out. Here are some interesting gajra hairstyles which you can try this season.

Simple Gajra Bun

This one can never go out of style. You can carry this with a saree, lehenga, or even a suit. The simple gajra bun works well with just anything. This one hairdo is so easy to make that you can do it yourself at home. All you need is some hair gel, bobby pins, and gajra. Center part your hair, brush them back and secure with a band. Make a bun with the ponytail and secure with bobby pins. Using some hair gel, set your hair in the front. This would give you a nice, sleek look. Place the gajra around the bun and secure with pins.

Gajra On Open Hair

If you have long tresses then going for a hairstyle like this one can be a good option for you. Also, it is a great pick if you don't want to do the gajra. For this, you will need to curl all your hair and set them at the back. You can go for a center partition and braid or twist your hair on the sides. As you tie a braid at the back, you can pin some gajra on it and leave the rest of your hair open.

Gajra Braid

This one became a big trend after Sonam Kapoor's wedding. For her mehendi and sangeet ceremony, Sonam opted for this pretty hairdo with her heavy embellished off-white and golden lehenga set. Sonam's hair were beautifully tied in a braid and then a lot of gajra was twisted around her hair. Even if you don't have long hair, you can get hair extensions and get this look. If you are a bride-to-be or just want to go for a trendy hairdo for the next wedding party, pay attention to this one!

Half Gajra Bun

This one is my personal favourite, for it is so quirky and chic. Shraddha Kapoor's half bun wrapped with gajra is one hairstyle that you should try this wedding season. Again, you won't be going overboard with the gajra in this hairstyle but still get a hairdo which is edgy and will look great with all your outfits, be it a saree or an anarkali.

Gajra Clip

If you like to tie your hair with the traditional hair clip with most occasions then this season, you must try going for the gajra clip. Ditch those clips with stones and colours and use gajras to clip your hair at the back. This one can be done exactly like you do your regular pin-up. Twist your hair from the front and tuck at the back using pins. Adorn them with lots of gajra strings to get this look.

Things To Keep In Mind When Going For Gajra Hairstyles

Always keep the gajra in the refrigerator or in water before using it or else they will look dull on your hair.

Keep bobby pins handy whenever you go for a gajra hairstyle.

Don't forget to secure your hairdo with hairspray after using gajra on your hair.

Get extensions beforehand according to your hair colour and texture if you have short hair.
