Buff Your Nails

It’s a mani-secret that nail polish stays on better and longer if applied on buffed nails.

The key to proper buffing is using a strong buffer. They are easily available in the market. You can order them online too!

Many of us have believed buffing to be a bad add-on process for the nails but it is only bad if not done properly.

Hydrate

You need to keep your nail beds and cuticles hydrated too! They are also a part of your skincare process.

Do not forget to soak your nail beds and cuticles in oil or you can just apply a layer and rub it in properly.

Apply A Base

For french nail paint, you will require two different nail paints. For the first nail colour, you will need a nude beige colour that is going to prevent your nails from getting stains.

The stains will ruin your nail any day and since the french tips are basically a fake face to show how natural our nails look, a nude base coat is always a plus.

If the nail paint has opaque transparency, you can apply two layers of the base coat!

French Tips

A straight or curved white strip is up to you and your nail shape, but if you want your nails to appear longer, let the polish curve with your natural nail.

You can use a fine brush or just use the nail polish brush to curve the line.

There have been many ways you can do the same on the internet. Some people do it with stencils, while some do it with tape.

Using tape, you can cut the tape into pieces and stick it onto your nails as per your desired shape. We urge you not to use the normal tape tho. Use a doctored tape as it may keep your base coat intact.

Top Coat

Once done with everything, a topcoat is a must. It helps keep your nail paint intact and last longer. It also gives a glossier, much more natural look to your brand new nails.
