Excessive exposure to polluted air, continuous usage of chemical packed products can strip off the natural moisture present in our skin and leave it dry and dull.

However, when you are blessed with a naturally oily skin, you might not be convinced to a cream or moisturiser for your face. Those who have oily skin usually think that slathering any product on that face will only add up to the shine and oil. But well, that's not the case.

Just like any other skin type, your oily skin too needs a regular CTM routine - cleansing, toning and moisturising.

If you are skeptical of testing any new cream on your face then you can turn to natural creams. A lot of natural ingredients can work like a moisturiser or cream for your oily skin and leave you with soft and supple skin.

1. Shea Butter

A natural moisturiser, shea butter is a common ingredient in most skincare products. It has a really thick consistency which is just perfect to leave your skin soft and smooth. The best part about using shea butter is that it won't leave your skin with breakouts. Also, shea butter can act like a sunscreen for your skin as it blocks the harmful UV rays of the sun.

2. Aloe Vera

If you want a non-greasy, lightweight cream for your face, try aloe vera gel. Aloe vera gel has moisturising, anti-inflammatory properties which are great for your skin.

Aloe vera also has antioxidants which prevent the skin from damage from environmental factors. Aloe vera can be used as a skin cream all year round as is or with a few drops of essential oil.

4. Jojoba Oil

Another natural ingredient which can work as a moisturiser for your oily skin is jojoba oil. What makes it great for oily skin is its properties which help balance the natural oils present in the skin. Using this oil doesn't feel greasy at home.

Jojoba oil should always be used with a mix of a few drops of essential oil.

5. Rose Petals And Aloe Vera

Using these two ingredients you can prepare your own moisturiser at home. Both rose petals and aloe vera are great ingredients for oily skin type.

Rose petals have toning and astringent properties which can do wonders for oily skin. On the other hand, aloe vera, as aforementioned has anti-inflammatory and moisturising properties which make it another amazing ingredient for oily skin.

In a pan, add some rose water and rose petals. Bring the pan to boil. Once cool, strain the solution. Add in some aloe vera gel and mix with rose water solution. Refrigerate. This gel like cream can be used everyday to moisturise your face.

Though all these ingredients are natural, make sure you do a patch test on your hand before applying any of these on your face directly to ensure your skin isn't allergic to them.

If you are suffering from severe breakout or any other skin issues, make sure you consult your doctor before using any of these natural ingredients on your skin.
