Due to the nation-wide lockdown, the government has advised people to stay home and in quarantine. Due to this, the entertainment channels have been telecasting old and popular series. Similarly, DD Bharat too started re-telecasting the epic show of Ramanand Sagar, Ramayana. Ramayana mythological television series which aired in 1987 and became a household staple.

Arun Govil As Rama

Arun Govil portrayed the role of Lord Rama in the series. Rama was one of the lead roles in the show and he was the eldest son of King Dasharatha. 

Arun Govil has acted in several series and films after Ramayana, most popular one being, Mashaal. He was recently seen on The Kapil Sharma Show for the launch of a book based on the life of Ramayan’s director, Shri Ramanand Sagar. Check out his so unseen pictures with his family.

Dara Singh As Hanuman

Dara Singh portrayed the role of Hanuman in the series who was a true devotee of Lord Rama. He was the son of Lord Vayu.

Dara Singh was born in Dharmuchak village in Amritsar and has acted in numerous Hindi and Punjabi films. Some of his most popular movies are Sher Dil, Sikander-e-Aazam, Daada, Watan Se Door, Rustom-E-Baghdad, and Raaka, and in more recent times, Jab We Met and Kal Ho Na Ho.

Dipika Chikhlia as Sita

Dipika Chikhlia portrayed the role of Lord Rama's wife, Sita in the show. According to reports, Deepika worked in several series and films after Ramayana. Later, she stepped into politics and even shared her pictures on Instagram. Check out some of her unseen pictures with her family.
