• cotton balls
• a cotton bud
• water
• Scissors

Steps To Make Cotton Ear Bud

Step 1: Start by taking measurements. First, cut the cotton bud in half and measure its diameter, then do the same with the straw. Using a calculator, divide the straw’s diameter by the cotton bud’s diameter. For example, if the result is 2.5, that’s your ratio (like 2.5:1). Next, measure the length of the cotton bud and multiply it by the ratio (so, if the cotton bud is 10cm long, multiply that by 2.5). Finally, cut the straw to the calculated length.

Step 2: To make the buds, take your cotton swabs and slide the straw through them. Then, dampen the cotton and shape it as needed.

Step 3: Once you're happy with the shape, coat it with a mixture of clear PVA glue and a bit of warm water to help the glue spread evenly over the cotton bud. Then, let it dry and repeat the process on the other side.
