Hailing from Nashik, Gayatri is a mechanical engineer with 4 years of experience in engineering industries and is now, a rising star in YouTube’s DIY and Home Decor space. Surprising, right?
For the past three years, she has uploaded videos on different kinds of DIY. From cute little planters to sophisticated wall hangings, she has made tonnes of videos to help you out. And don’t worry, these tricks will not burn a hole in your pocket!

Starting a YouTube Channel was never a part of Gayatri’s plan. She was working in the engineering industry for 4 years when she left her job after her son was born. But fate has its own calling, due to some health complications, Gayatri was bedridden for 8 to 9 months.
At that time, she started consuming a lot of content on YouTube and that’s how she got the inspiration to start her own YouTube channel.
Initially, she explored the YouTube creative space by making videos regarding different categories like beauty, food, arts, and crafts. But later, she realized that her heart is all for Home Decor and Do-It-Yourself crafts. And that became her channel’s niche.
When asked where her love and interest for DIY cropped up she said that it is all in her genes! She stated, “I found that I am good at it as I was unknowingly doing this from time to time in daily life, this basically came from my mother as she loves to DIY.”

Reaching the 10k subscriber count was not a bed of roses for Gayatri. She said, “Crossing 10k subscribers is a great thing for me.”
She also admitted that it took a lot of time and effort but with the immense love of her audience she is in a very happy space now as her audience is increasing with each passing day.
She believes that it’s a great experience for her as her subscribers have always been there for her no matter what. Seeing them recreate her DIYs, commenting on her videos, and sending encouraging DMs makes her day and gives her a reason to keep creating.
When reminiscing the moments from her YouTube journey, she mentioned that whether it is adding beautiful decor pieces to the living room or elevating the home office space, she has done it all!

But her most favourite video from her channel is “DIY mini planters from broken cups”. Not only she loved making that video but receiving a great response from the viewers made her all the more excited!
She felt great when the viewers tried her DIY idea and shared the pictures of their cute mini planters with her on social media.

Do-It-Yourself, as the name suggests, is really about you seeking out the knowledge and developing the skills for making our own decor pieces that you would normally buy from the market paying a hefty amount.
Gayatri says that if you want to get your hands on DIY, you should just start making something that is unused and laying around in the house.
Imagination is the key to doing DIYs. First, think about the basics like which part of the house would you like to decorate, do you have any spare material to achieve the desired craft, and so on. Then, try to make something creative out of those unused materials and you will surely start enjoying the process of DIY.

Working in a creative field is not easy. Gayatri believes that it is necessary to ask for feedback and new ideas from the viewers.
She adds that if you have passion and patience then YouTube is a great platform to explore. However, success doesn’t happen overnight. If you are only using this creative space for monetary gains in a short term then, YouTube is certainly not for you.
