The entire UK is busy prepping for King Charles' coronation ceremony on May 6. The big day is near and the countrywide zeal speaks it all. The coronation ceremony will begin with the 'Coronation Big Lunch' on May 6. It will be followed by a 'Coronation Concert' on May 7. There will be an extra bank holiday on May 8. On the last day of the ceremony, the public will be invited to join 'The Big Help Out' initiative by Buckingham Palace where they will be able to volunteer in their communities. With this initiative, people can come together and sign up for volunteering acts like cleaning their area. This comes in with the coronation ceremony because Prince Charles is an advocate for a cleaner planet.
During the coronation ceremony, the crown will be placed on the monarch, King Charles's head. The religious ceremony will formalise the monarch's role as the head of the Church of England and transfer the title and powers. Following the ceremony, the king and the Queen Consort will travel to Westminster Abbey in a horse drawn carriage. The procession will be secured by thousands of armed forces. Rishi Sunak To Read From Biblical Book
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will be reading from the biblical book of Colossians at King Charles coronation ceremony. Traditionally, British Prime Ministers give readings at State occasions at the office of the Archbishop of Canterbury and Rishi Sunak will be playing the part here. The ceremony will be held at Westminster Abbey on May 6. Rishi Sunak will be the first Prime Minister of Indian origin to read from a biblical book.

King Charles' Coronation Cost Estimated A Whopping €250 Million
The whopping amount estimated to be spent for the coronation ceremony includes a big chunk of €150 million going for the deployment of police officers and protection squads for three days of celebrations. Ahead of the coronation ceremony, the public is also investing in a range of memorabilia, souvenirs for the big day. From coffee mugs to candles to soft toys, public is going gaga over coronation merchandise and UK retailers are currently cashing in on it. There is also an increase in the flight bookings. Celebrities To Attend Coronation Concert
King Charles III's coronation ceremony this week will be a star studded ceremony. A coronation concert will be held on May 7 at Windsor Castle, a day after the crowning of King Charles. The event will have A-listers from across the world. Bear Grylls, Sonam Kapoor, Tom Cruise, Nicole Scherzinger, Tom Jones, Joan Collins will be in attendance.
Sonam Kapoor will be sharing the stage at the coronation concert with icons like Katy Perry. Kapoor will be delivering an exclusive spoken word piece, introducing Steve Winwood and the exclusive Commonwealth virtual choir at the ceremony.
