There is always something exciting going on in the B-town. After many pregnancies and wedding announcements, we have one more celebrity nuptial coming our way. It is none other than the Singham star, Kajal Aggarwal. The 35-year-old actress is all set to tie the knot with a Mumbai-based businessman, Gautam Kitchlu on October 30.
With less than a day left for her wedding, the pre-wedding ceremonies have begun and we can’t keep calm! Kajal recently posted an adorable snap from her mehendi ceremony and the bridal glow on her face is enough to translate her happiness. Clad in a mint green salwar suit, she can be seen flaunting her bridal mehendi. Her fans have been constantly congratulating her on the photo she shared on her official IG profile.
She broke the news of getting married to the owner of an interior design e-commerce platform taking to social media. While there were a lot of speculations, she put all them to rest by releasing a statement that said, “It gives me immense joy to share that I am getting married to Gautam Kitchlu, on October 30, 2020, in Mumbai, in a small, private ceremony surrounded by our immediate families.”
She further added, “This pandemic has certainly shed a sobering light on our joy, but we are thrilled to start our lives together and know that all of you will be cheering us on in spirit. I thank you for all the love you have showered upon me over the years and we seek your blessings as we embark upon this incredible new journey. I will still continue doing what I cherish the most – entertaining my audience – now, with a whole new purpose and meaning. Thank you for your unending support.”
She, who is an acclaimed south-Indian celeb has a massive fan following. The news of her nuptials took the internet by storm, with everyone wanting to know more about her marriage. Kajal Aggarwal’s sister, Nisha Aggarwal during an interview with Hyderabad Times spilled the beans that unlike most celebs, the actor’s marriage is going to be a low-key affair and only close family and friends will be present to witness her and Gautam’s holy bond.
“Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we’re keeping the celebrations low-key. Despite the restrictions in place, we’re trying our best to create the shaadi ka mahaaul. We will be hosting traditional haldi and mehendi ceremonies (green lehenga for mehendi) at home. Both ceremonies will take place on the same day — October 29, one day before the wedding. We’re all extremely thrilled for Kajal and we’re so excited for her as she begins her new journey.”
While marriages are exciting and fun, for the bride’s family it also happens to be an emotional time. Kajal’s family is also going through the same phase said her sister during the same interview.
“My father has been looking forward to Kajal’s wedding day for so long, so it’s a special time for all of us. We’re also a bit emotional as Kajal will be getting married and leaving home. So at the moment, we’re trying to spend as much time as we can with her. But everyone wants a piece of the bride during this time, so I haven’t gotten to spend much time with her.”
