Bollywood actor Juhi Chawla got married to Indian businessman and entrepreneur, Jay Mehta in the year 1995. The two are parents to Jahnavi Mehta and Arjun Mehta. Juhi Chawla's husband and kids have always been away from the limelight.

However, Juhi Chawla's kids have now started to make public appearances and become the talk of the town. Juhi Chawla's daughter, Jahnavi Mehta is the newest star kid on the block and has managed to garner a huge fan following in a short span.

Who Is Jahnavi Mehta?

Jahnavi Mehta is the elder daughter of Jay Mehta and Juhi Chawla. She first gained limelight when she was seen at the IPL auction in Chennai earlier last year. She was the youngest bidder in IPL auction history. The official Twitter account of Kolkata Knight Riders shared, "The youngest bidder in #IPLAuction history is back 💜 Our very own #JahnaviMehta will be taking over our Social Media for today, as she gives you a behind-the-scenes tour of the event in Chennai. Stay tuned!."

Jahnavi Mehta became the youngest bidder in the history of Indian Premier League auction at the age of 18. At the auction, she was seen selecting players for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The team is co-owned by her parents.

In the IPL auction, Jahnavi Mehta was seen sitting next to Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan. Their pictures from the auction soon went viral on the internet.

Juhi Chawla shared a picture of Aryan Khan and Jahnavi Mehta from the IPL auction on television and shared it on her Twitter handle. She wrote, "So happy to see both the KKR kids, Aryan and Jahnavi at the Auction table .."

In an interview with Indianexpress.com, Juhi Chawla on both Jahnavi Mehta and Aryan Khan's love for cricket said, “I was so glad the children are taking a keen interest in the team. They are not being pushed to do this, they are doing it because they truly wish to. They both keenly follow the sport. Jahnavi wakes up at odd hours of the night, to watch cricket matches in different parts of the world.”

She added that she is always shocked to learn how aware her daughter is of the technicalities of cricket. When she saw a picture of Aryan and Jahnavi at the auction, she was grateful to God to see that in their own unique way, their children had taken over.

Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla starred in a couple of movies together. Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla are close friends and even launched a production house, Dreamz Films Unlimited which failed to work. However, Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla again joined hands to buy IPL franchise - Kolkata Knight Riders.

Initially, only Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla were seen at IPL auctions but everyone was surprised to see Aryan Khan and Jahnavi Mehta at the IPL auction. Talking about the same in an interview as per a report by dnaindia.com, Juhi Chawla said, “Many little things come to mind,” the actor said, adding, “One was, how amazing is nature! In a glimpse, Aryan looked like a young Shah Rukh and Jhanvi resembled me so much!”

Jahnavi Mehta's Education

Jahnavi Mehta completed her schooling from Dhirubhai Ambani International School. She was one of the brightest students in the school and always passed with flying colours. Reportedly, she was among the top 10 students of the school.

Jahnavi Mehta is a graduate from the University in London. Juhi Chawla took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture from Jahnavi Mehta's graduation ceremony in London.

When Preity Zinta Was All Praises For Jahnavi Mehta

In the year 2018, Jahnavi Mehta had left King XI Punjab's owner, Preity Zinta quite impressed at the IPL auction. Sharing a picture of herself with Jahnavi Mehta, she wrote, "Forget the madness of the #VivoIPLAuction- it’s awesome to meet the super smart Jahnavi Mehta who gave me a run for our money🏏 #smartgirlsrock."

Jahnavi Mehta's Plans To Join Bollywood

In an interview with IANS, Juhi Chawla shared if her daughter has plans to join Bollywood. She said, "Jahnavi is an avid reader. If there is anything she likes in this world, and if you ask her what she wants as a gift, it will be a book. She said she wanted to be a writer. Then she went through a phase where she said 'Okay I want to be a model'. Tomorrow she might say 'I want to be an actress'. Then she might say she wants to drop all this and do sports. I don't know, but I have learnt one thing that you have to let your children do what they want."
