Hina Khan shared a mirror selfie on her Instagram story and wrote a long note with it. She wrote, "Had put on some kilos in these months for obvious reasons and I really did not pay attention to how many kilos I put on... My mental health was way more important and I just wanted to be, wanted to do things that make me happy. Sometimes let yourself be, enjoy the little things. Do what you like without thinking about what people will say or how I am looking. After all one needs to be in the right frame of mind to do anything in life. And I chose mental health, my well-being, over my physical appearance. Now here I am, back in action."
Why Mental Health?
Hina Khan lost her father a few months ago this year and ever since then she has been going through an emotional roller coaster. Though the actress resumed work after a few days, she has been taking it slow to ensure she is mentally at peace.
Post the demise of her father, Hina Khan has been taking care of her mother. She keeps sharing her videos and pictures on her Instagram handle. Once she shared some candid pictures with her mother and captioned it, “MAA Teri Khushi Meri Khwahish..Teri Hifazat Mera Haq..I am no Therapist maa.. But I promise, I will look after you, wipe your tears and I will LISTEN..”
Hina Khan has come a long way from playing a naive Akshara on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai to Bigg Boss and to the Cannes red carpet. Her journey in the showbiz has indeed been an inspiring one!
