'King': Shah Rukh Khan's Character Revealed; To Span Two Timelines, Co-Starring Deepika Padukone And Suhana Khan

'King' is one of the most awaited films of 2026. The makers recently shared the title reveal video on Shah Rukh Khan's 60th birthday. Since the reveal, it has received a lot of praise from his fans and colleagues alike. Now, a report has found that the action movie will feature two separate timelines.

What We Know About The Film King So Far

According to a report by India Today, SRK's 'King' will feature two distinct timelines. As per sources, the actor will be seen portraying his character at different stages of his life. While the younger version of Khan's character will lock horns with Raghav Juyal, who supposedly plays the role of a villain, the older King will face off against the main antagonist, Abhishek Bachchan.

Khan and Bachchan will be seen together on screen after a long time, having previously worked in 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' and 'Happy New Year'. Meanwhile, Raghav Juyal received applause for his performance in SRK's son Aryan Khan's directorial debut show, 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood'.

More About King

Directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously helmed the film 'Pathaan', 'King' is slated to release in theatres in 2026.

As we enter the world of 'King', Khan's character says, "How many people did I kill? I don't know," adding, "Were they good? Were they bad? I never asked." He goes on to say that all he can remember is seeing fear in their eyes, that this is their last breath. And he was the reason for it. Then, we see the carnage he unleashes on his victims.

"I am not fear. I am destruction," he concludes. The teaser also hints that the star will sport two looks in King: one in salt-and-pepper and the other in his classic long hairdo.

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, other plot details remain a secret. The film also stars Deepika Padukone as the female lead, marking her sixth film with SRK. Notably, Khan's daughter Suhana Khan and actor Jaideep Ahlawat will also play important roles in the film.
