Did You Know That British Royals Aren't Allowed To Do These Basic Things? We Are Shocked!

In the regal life of British Royals, what are the things they are prohibited from doing? Take a look.

British Royals family strict rules

The life of Royals appears to be fascinating from afar: so many servants to do their chores, having someone break in their shoes to avoid blisters, access to huge vacation houses, and so much more. Isn't it true that all of these special perks make us all want to live this life?

However, you won't believe it, but there is another side of this lavish lifestyle; the royals are not allowed to do several things that are so basic. Take a look at this surprising list:

1. No PDA

While there are no formal protocols for the royal family, they are expected to follow some protocols at all times. One of the strict protocols for the royal family is that they can't do PDA or Public Display Of Affection in public. Meaning, no kissing, no hugging and even holding hands in public is discouraged.

2. Can't Play Monopoly

A very popular and much loved game by everyone, Monopoly is banned for the british family. According to the Express, Prince Andrew visited the newly refurbished Albion Street headquarters of the Leeds Building Society. To mark his visit, the Duke of York was presented with the Monopoly property board game. But Prince Andrew had to politely decline the game. He reportedly revealed "we are not allowed to play Monopoly at home".

3. No Bright Nail Polish

In an interview with Express.co.uk, Daena Borrowman, the Marketing Manager at jewellerybox told that women in the royal family are not supposed to wear 'bright or dark nail paint on their fingernails'.

Long, colourful nails are also an absolute no-no in the palace, according to sources of OK! magazine.

4. Can't Sign Autographs

The royal family is not permitted to sign autographs for fans. However, the reason behind this is distinct from that of others. While other explanations are related to etiquette, this one is not permitted owing to forgery concerns.

Prince Charles, however, did break the protocol once, back in 2010 when he signed an autograph for a flood victim and wrote 'Charles 2010' on a piece of paper.

5. No Social Media

The royal family is not allowed to have their social media accounts.

Even Meghan Markle, who was very active on social media, had to remove her account one month before her wedding to Prince Harry.

Princess Eugenie, the daughter of Prince Andrew and granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth, is the only royal with an official, public Instagram account. This is because she is technically not a working royal.

6. Avoid Eating Shellfish

Garlic and shrimp are two of the delicacies that the Queen has forbidden from her royal kitchens. Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, confirmed the royal family is not supposed to eat garlic when she appeared on Masterchef Australia in the year 2018.

7. Can't Eat At A Different Pace Than Queen

One of the most interesting rules in the royal family is that when the queen begins to eat, everyone else at the table begins to eat as well. When she's finished eating, everyone else needs to stop eating as well.
