This is a popular dish all over India, especially North India. 

However, now that we all are stuck at home, you can prepare restaurant style paneer at home as well. If you have been craving for creamy paneer sabzi all this while then this easy recipe will help you prepare tangy and creamy paneer at home. Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 200 gm Paneer
  • 4-5 Large Tomatoes
  • 1-2 Green Chilies
  • 3-4 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 piece Ginger
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • 2 green elaichi
  • 2 laung
  • 1 inch stick Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Heavy Cream
  • 1 tbsp Kasuri Methi

Step

  1. Step 1:

    In a pan, add butter, cinnamon, elaichi, dalchini, laung, cumin seeds and saute.

  2. Step 2:

    Next add garlic and ginger. Fry and roast well.

  3. Step 3:

    Puree tomatoes and add to the pan. Saute for 4 to 5 minutes till cooks well.

  4. Step 4:

    As tomato puree cooks, add all spices including haldi, salt, coriander powder, garam masala. Cook well.

  5. Step 5:

    When you see the gravy leaving oil, add cream and 1/2 cup water. If you don't have cream, you can use some milk.

  6. Step 6:

    Now add paneer cubes and cover tha pan. Cook for a few more minutes.

  7. Step 7:

    Take dry fenugreek leaves and sprinkle all over.

  8. Step 8:

    You can top with some more cream and serve hot with tandoori roti or parantha.
