This masala papad chaat recipe is just the perfect recipe for happy, rainy days. Also, it isn't loaded with a lot of calories so can be a good option for those on a weight-loss journey too.

How To Make Masala Papad Chaat At Home?

  • First, cut each papad into 4 pieces and keep them aside. You can take any papad available at your home.
  • In a kadhai, add some oil and heat.
  • Deep fry the papads till golden brown and take off flame.
  • Transfer to an oil absorbent paper to get rid of the excess oil.
  • Boil sweet corn and keep aside.
  • Chop onion, tomato, cucumber, capsicum into small pieces and keep aside. You can also use other toppings of your choice.
  • Place all the fried papad on a plate and spread tomato sauce over it. You can also use homemade coriander and mint chutney.
  • Top it with chopped onions, boiled sweet corn, tomatoes, cucumber, and capsicum.
  • Top with chopped green chilli, chaat masala, and chilli powder.
  • Sprinkle sev over it. If you don't have sev, you can crush regular wafers and top the papad slices with it.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • Enjoy masala papad with your cup of tea!

Ingredients

  • 4 Papad
  • Oil For Frying
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 Capsicum
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1/2 Cup Sweet Corn
  • 1 Green Chilli
  • 2-4 Tbsp Sev Of Wafers
  • Chilli Powder As Required
  • Chaat Masala As Required
  • Tomato Ketchup Or Mint Coriander Chutney
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves

Step

  • Step 1 :

    Chop onion, tomato, cucumber, capsicum into small pieces and keep aside.

  • Step 3 :

    Boil sweet corn.

  • Step 4 :

    Place fried papads on a plate and layer with tomato ketchup or mint chutney.

  • Step 5 :

    Top with chopped vegetables and sweet corn.

  • Step 6 :

    Add sev or wafers, chopped green chilli.

  • Step 7 :

    Sprinkle chilli powder and chaat masala as per taste.
