It's Holi when we start talking about bhaang and easy snacks that need to be served with so many guests over. What we want our finger snacks because that is easier to have if you have colours all over and are wet with all that pichkari and bucket water. Here are some easy, quick to make, rather sorted recipes for Holi from the house of Dr. Oetker India Creative Kitchen.

Loaded Fries

Servings: 2

Ingredients:

  • 100 g French fries
  • ½ small onion, chopped
  • ¼ each red, yellow and green capsicum, chopped
  • 2-3 black olives, sliced
  • 50 g (3 tbsp) veg mayonnaise

Directions:

  • All you have to do is place hot fries on a serving plate, top it up with onion, capsicum and olives. Drizzle mayonnaise and serve.[

Assorted Party Dips

Ingredients:

Creamy green dip

  • 50 g coriander Leaves
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 75 g (5 tbsp) veg mayonnaise original
  • Salt

Spicy Mexican Dip

  • 1 tbsp red chilli paste
  • 75 g (5 tbsp) veg mayonnaise original
  • ¼ each red, yellow and green capsicum, chopped
  • Salt
  • Few breadsticks and potato chips

Directions:

  • Creamy Green Dip: In a blender jar add coriander leaves, green chillies, garlic cloves and blend for 30 seconds or until a smooth paste is formed.
  • In a bowl add above paste, mayonnaise and salt. Mix well and serve cold.
  • Spicy Mexican Dip: In a bowl add chilli paste, mayonnaise, capsicum and salt. Mix well and serve cold.
  • Serve above dips with bread sticks and potato chips.

Corn & Spinach Bruschetta

Servings: 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 4-5 pieces of walnuts, chopped
  • 100 gm spinach, chopped
  • 60 g sweet corn kernels
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped
  • Salt
  • Black pepper powder
  • 5 slices French bread, toasted
  • 90 g (6 tbsp) garlic mayonnaise
  • 2 no. processed cheese, slice

Directions:

  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan (medium flame) add garlic, walnuts and spinach. Sauté it for 2-3 minutes or until water from spinach has dried out.
  • Add sweet corn and tomato to above vegetables. Stir and sauté vegetable for 1 minute.
  • Season with salt and black pepper and leave aside to cool.
  • In a bowl, add above mixture and 3 tbsp mayonnaise. Mix well.
  • Take slices of French bread and spread remaining garlic mayonnaise evenly. Garnish it with cheese strips. Serve warm.
