Dry Fruit Ladoo With Dates Recipe

Here is a hassle-free step-by-step recipe to make delicious and nutrition-rich dry fruit laddus with dates:

  1. Take a pan, pour 1 teaspoon ghee, and let it heat for some time.
  2. Add 1 cup of almonds, ½ cup of cashews and ¼ cup of pistachios and let the chopped dry fruits roast.
  3. After the nuts turn crunchy and golden brown, keep them aside in a bowl to rest.
  4. Turn off the flame, add ½ cup of raisins and 6 chopped figs and let it heat for some time.
  5. Turn them over to let the other side get prepped as well until they turn mildly hot.
  6. Keep them aside with other dry fruits and let them cool.
  7. Dry roast 3 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds, 3 tablespoons of sunflower seeds, 2 tablespoons of sesame, 1 tablespoons of poppy seeds, and 1 cup of grated dry coconut.
  8. Roast them until the seeds turn crispy and then keep them aside.
  9. Transfer the dry fruits and seeds into a mixer grinder and mix them coarsely. The coarse texture makes the laddus more appetising.
  10. Take a large wok (kadhai), pour 2 tablespoons of ghee, and let it heat. Add 350 grams of dates and cook them on low heat.
  11. After about 5 minutes of heating, the dates should turn slimy and soft.
  12. With extra caution, mash the tender dates until they turn into a smooth paste. Mash them using a spoon to prevent injuries.
  13. Add the roasted and groundnuts and seeds mixture to the dates paste.
  14. Mix, knead, and fold them well to ensure everything spreads evenly.
  15. Let the mixture cool slightly before you proceed with the steps.
  16. Once cooled, start shaping your laddus into a spherical shape.
  17. Your dry fruit laddus with dates are ready to relish!
